Jessica Gustafson, MS, PA-C, AE-C

Jessica grew up in small, rural community in southwest Iowa and received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Iowa in 1998. Following graduation, Jessica moved to Colorado in 1999. She then spent time doing medical research at National Jewish Hospital—with a focus on asthma research as well as cancer research. Jessica also had the pleasure of working for a year at a pediatric non-profit association called Colorado Bright Beginnings. With her love of medicine and interest in pediatrics, Jessica attended the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program at UCHSC. This school is unique among other Physician Assistant schools in that it is a three year program which has a strong emphasis in pediatrics. Jessica completed the program in 2006, and obtained a Master of Science degree in 2008.

Since that time, Jessica has spent 6 years working in the community as a physician assistant in pediatric & adult allergy and asthma where she has absolutely loved sharing her interest in allergy/asthma/immunology with families and their children. Jessica joined IMMUNOe Health Centers and Horizon Primary Care in April, 2013 and works at all three of our current sites: Green Valley Ranch, Centennial, and Thornton. Jessica loves our clinics’ special focus on immune health in relation to our patients’ general health. In June 2013, Jessica became a certified asthma educator. This certification ensures that the education given to our asthmatic families is the most up-to-date information available. Finally, Jessica is involved as a sub-investigator in our clinical research department—which has research trials in several cutting-edge allergy/asthma medications.

Jessica met her husband, Matt, at the University of Iowa. They moved to Colorado together in 1999 and married in 2002. Jessica and Matt have 2 very energetic children – Andrew and Grace—and spend their weekends enjoying the Colorado outdoors, traveling with family, and, during football season they cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
